What little boys are made of

Had a really sleepy little boy come in for a session.  He did not like being awake for photos!

He was just too sweet for words.

Day of rest

Taking the day off to spend time with the family.  Tomorrow more baby photos to take and will be editing the rest of the photos I got to take of this beautiful little girl.

Wide awake

This gorgeous little girl was wide awake for most of the session.  Her bright blue eyes took in everything around her.

When she fell asleep, she was just as charming!

Who would have thought a chaise lounge could look so comfortable?

Babies

You can’t but have a smile on your face after photographing a newborn baby.  I am having such a fantastic time meeting all the new parents and their gorgeous children.  This little girl was 9 days old when I got to photograph her.

She was so good, she slept through the whole session.

And then there was that special moment when her wonderful mum picked her up between poses…

Sleeping innocence

There is something so amazing and wondrous about watching a little newborn sleep.  There is always just a little bit of the face visible, and sometimes they wiggle out their fingers as well.

She was the most amazingly well-behaved little one!  Her very calm and relaxed (though a little tired) parents had already managed to get her into a routine.  (More photos on Facebook)

Phenominality

It is such an enormous feeling I experience when new parents ask me to share in the first precious days when the have been blessed with a new little one to love.  The morning spent with this little princess was no exception.  She was just too adorable!  And so calm and relaxed, giving her parents much deserved rest.

I know she will bring joy and delight into every aspect of her parent’s lives!

Thank you for letting me share in your joy!  It was so special to be in a home so filled with love.

*I am going to be short on words the next few weeks.  One-handed typing is a bit too frustrating.  The operation went well though and I am still taking photos, as you can see!

Baby brother, little sister

There is something so amazing about being allowed into a family in those first weeks after a baby is born.  I am loving working with these images.  Such a beautiful family!

I think this image will be my favourite though.  She is such a darling big sister!

More photos from the session on Facebook <link>

Things are a little rushed at the moment.  A few more weeks, then the semester is over and I will have handed in my portfolio.  Until then, lots of images to edit and sort through!

*My daughter is doing well after the operation, though going out gets some astonished looks from passersby.  The cut is quite long, virtually the whole front of her neck, so it looks just a tiny bit scary.  She acts like nothing ever happened, totally happy and content with life.  She is much happier since it came out, eating a lot better and more comfortable in her daily routine.  We are so blessed!  Thank you for all the thoughts and prayers.

Yawning…

There is just something so adorable about a newborn’s yawn.  I just had to share!  Isn’t he adorable?

He was born weighing 4.85kg (almost 11 pounds!).  So calm and relaxed though.  It was wonderful spending some time with him and his family, sharing in these special first days.

*a few more hours until the operation.  Will keep everyone updated as soon as we get home again.
