The Fun of Being Family

I got the wonderful opportunity to photograph a friend’s family when the grandparents came to visit.  We had a beautiful, bright sunny day to capture the love they have for each other.  Everything was just perfect!

 

My Story in Photos: Places I Love

This week’s challenge at I Heart Faces is a little more challenging and took quite a bit of thought on my part.  There aren’t many romantic places we can go with kids aged 2 to 11.  I do love being with the whole family together though.  Our days are just great!

From walking to school in the morning…

(looking at flowers along the way)

to discovering a (flatter) shortcut home.

The added bonus of the shortcut is that the kids don’t have to cross any unsupervised roads to get to school.  Now they cycle to school and the youngest and I wait for them in the park in the afternoons.

 

There are the days we go swimming, then visit the library afterwards

then driving home exhausted and hungry, but quite content with our life now.

We have truly been blessed!

Family times

I got the wonderful opportunity this weekend to photograph this fantastic young family.  The kids had a ball playing in the park and posing for shots.  They are definitely naturals!

 

I was there for a few hours yet the kids did not seem to lose energy  at all.  This was one of the last shots of the day.

I will post a bit more later this week, but I have a huge assignment due tonight, so I am rushing around a bit.  I also have to squeeze in time somewhere to bake cookies and rusks for a camping trip this weekend.  (I have never been camping before, so I am a little nervous.)
