My Story in Photos: Places I Love

This week’s challenge at I Heart Faces is a little more challenging and took quite a bit of thought on my part.  There aren’t many romantic places we can go with kids aged 2 to 11.  I do love being with the whole family together though.  Our days are just great!

From walking to school in the morning…

to discovering a (flatter) shortcut home.

The added bonus of the shortcut is that the kids don’t have to cross any unsupervised roads to get to school.  Now they cycle to school and the youngest and I wait for them in the park in the afternoons.

 

There are the days we go swimming, then visit the library afterwards

then driving home exhausted and hungry, but quite content with our life now.

We have truly been blessed!

Melbourne’s Architecture

There is a really rich mix of architecture styles in the city.  From the old churches to the library to the alleyways.

 

The old wall above  is of a warehouse.  The inside of the warehouses down this narrow little street seem to all have been converted to flats.  It is really narrow.  A 4x4 was a tight fit.  She couldn’t turn the corner when I was standing right near the wall to take the photo.  I had to move.

Christmas decorations are also already up in the city.  This was taken from Flinders Street Station. 

I am hoping we can go see the Myer windows soon, but with packing and all the Christmas events, somehow we keep running out of time.

I better get back to packing.  I have my daughter singing nursery rhymes in the background.  Simple pleasures…
