Day of rest

Taking the day off to spend time with the family.  Tomorrow more baby photos to take and will be editing the rest of the photos I got to take of this beautiful little girl.

Pink Ninja

For dress-up day at kindy, my daughter decided she wanted to be a pink ninja.  It shows that she has two brothers, doesn’t it?

Wide awake

This gorgeous little girl was wide awake for most of the session.  Her bright blue eyes took in everything around her.

When she fell asleep, she was just as charming!

Who would have thought a chaise lounge could look so comfortable?

Springtime with the tulips

We met up with friends at the Tesselaar’s Tulip Festival again this year in Monbulk.  All those gorgeous colours are truly amazing!

There are as always more to see than just the tulips.

Even in the fallen blooms there is perfection.  Spring has come!

Babies

You can’t but have a smile on your face after photographing a newborn baby.  I am having such a fantastic time meeting all the new parents and their gorgeous children.  This little girl was 9 days old when I got to photograph her.

She was so good, she slept through the whole session.

And then there was that special moment when her wonderful mum picked her up between poses…

Those early morning phone calls

When everyone in the extended family lives in a different time zone, you know it isn’t good news when you get a call in the early hours of the morning.  The children’s great-grandmother (hubby’s grandmother) passed away this weekend aged 89.  She will be missed a lot.

She loved the children to bits and they felt the same about her.

Sky High

Sometimes the photos are better because the weather is bad.  Going up high meant the clouds were more shining mist than just a gloomy covering of the sky.

Being a tourist

Old friends came past for a quick visit.  One of our favourite places to take our guests is up to Grant’s Picnic Grounds in Sherbrooke Forest.  It has been a while since I had been there last.  Everything has been updated.

The cockatoos are as noisy and aggressive as always and the little crimson rosellas beautiful and delicate.

After all the rain, the forest was blooming with life.

We made it home before the cold and wet weather caught up to us.

Swimming lessons

My youngest had her first swimming lesson!  She has been asking for a while, so we finally decided to bite the bullet and enrol her.  She is loving it! (though she refuses to let me teach her now)

Her brothers aren’t that crazy about the idea because, while she’s having lessons, I make them do laps in the pool.  I do let them go play in the wave pool at the end though, so it isn’t all torture for them!
