This week’s photo is really sweet. The (very serious) little one has beautiful eyes, but I felt they got a little lost amongst all the blue in the image. The lighting was also a little bit distracting, with most of his face in shadow. (Our eyes tend to go to the brightest part of the image first.)
I warmed the image a little, cropped it and sharpened the eyes. Also added some texture.
Be sure to check out the other entries (my post might be up a little early, since my Friday starts before theirs!)

I really love it! Thanks so much for taking the time to edit.
ReplyDeleteOh, I really love what you did. How did you sharpen the eyes?
ReplyDeleteI agree with everyone else - really nice crop. Love it.
ReplyDeleteFor sharpening, I used Pioneer Woman's "Brighten Eyes" (separately for each eye and set the layers to low opacity - around 15- 20%) and then I used her "Sharpen This" action, also at a lower opacity.
ReplyDeleteGlad everyone likes this so much! :)
I like your texture in your picture...but then again I am a texture junkie, ha, ha.
ReplyDeleteNice job!! I warmed mine up also, using PW's Soft and Faded action.
ReplyDeleteErica, try the Filter in Photoshop (Texture | Texturiser) I used a texture, then ran the filter for extra texture
ReplyDeleteHer actions are awesome, aren't they Amanda! :D
